The third requirement for a calculator to be ready is that it must only have one input block. This can be a little limiting. For example, the CODEC comparison calculator shipped with VoIP Select shares a single input between three Lines to IP Bandwidth blocks. In order to work around this limitation, buffer blocks have been provided. These can be configured as the single input block, and can then be connected to the the blocks which would have been the input blocks of the calculator.
