Extended Erlang B

Extended Erlang B is an extension to the \Erlang B traffic model which takes retries into account. Erlang B assumes that blocked calls leave the system immediately, and do not re-enter it. Extended Erlang B includes an additional parameter called the Recall factor which defines the level of these recalls.

Extended Erlang B has generally superseded the Poisson, or Molina, model (except in North America), because Poisson does not offer any control over the recall factor, but simply assumes that blocked calls remain in the system for as long as they would have lasted, had they been answered.
