| I don't think anyone really knows where they buys the equipment for sure. But the main diffrence is that authorized distributors most of the time gives a maintanence free of charge and also they have upto 20% off up there sleeves. The maintanence is a bigtime advantage.25% to 30% savings is not worth. |

My company installs Nortel and Avaya systmes in New England. We buy our equipment through unauthorized distributors. When I try to buy through authorized distributors, my cost is 25-30% more. When I ask why I'm told that the distributors I'm buying from are buying stolen equipment, which I don't believe.
But here's my problem. I've tried many different distributors and they're not very good. They have lousy support and poor salespeople. But the owners of their companies are driving fast cars and big boats.
Here's the question. Where are they getting their equipment? I believe I could run an operation that offered good service and support. But I have not been able to find out where I can buy the stuff. Suggestions? Comments? |
